WHY FAMILIES HERE CHOOSE US

You Didn't Sign Up to Be a Case Manager.

You had a job. A family of your own. A life. And then, almost overnight, you became the person managing medications, coordinating with hospitals, and lying awake at night wondering if she fell.

You’ve probably called a few agencies already. They all sound the same on the phone — cheerful, reassuring, vague. What you actually need is someone with clinical experience to walk into the home and tell you honestly what your family needs.

That's what we do first. Before anything else.

A Nurse Builds the Plan. A Trained Caregiver Carries It Out. You Get Your Life Back.

Most non-medical home care agencies in Maryland are run by salespeople or franchise operators. Ours is run by a registered nurse with more than 25 years of clinical experience.

A care plan reviewed by a registered nurse — not a scheduler with a checklist

How it Works

The White Glove Caregiver Program™

The training that makes a Comfi-Kare caregiver different in your home

Maryland requires baseline training hours for home care aides. We require considerably more — every caregiver is certified through our proprietary soft-skills training built through CareOps HQ.

Emotional Intelligence

Reading the room, recognizing anxiety or pain even when unspoken, staying steady when family is exhausted.

Work Ethics

On time, every time. Honoring confidentiality and professional boundaries in the household.

American Cultural Ethics

Fitting into the family's home, traditions, and daily rhythms rather than imposing a generic routine.

American Meals Training

Preparing the meals seniors grew up eating, adapted safely for dietary restrictions.

Communication

Clear, unhurried, respectful. Proactive family updates and validation-based communication.

Time Management

Pacing the visit so the senior isn't rushed, documenting in real time.

Empathy & Respect

Treating your parent the way the caregiver would treat their own — dignity-first hands-on care.

In our experience, the technical tasks of home care are the easy part. The soft skills are what determine whether a placement lasts a month or a year. Lower turnover means consistency for your loved one — and consistency means better outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions Families Ask Us First

Still have a question? Magna answers the phone herself more often than you’d expect.

How much does home care cost in Maryland in 2026?

Home care in Maryland generally ranges from $32–$45 per hour, depending on the service and level of care. 24-hour shift care generally runs $700–$900/day; live-in care $400–$550/day. RN oversight is included in our rate, many agencies charge separately for it or don’t offer it at all.

For most families in Montgomery, Howard, and Frederick counties, care begins within 24–48 hours of the free nurse-led assessment. Urgent post-hospital discharges are often same-day.

Most non-medical home care agencies do not have a registered nurse on staff. Our RN founder oversees every care plan, fewer medication errors, better fall prevention, and smoother hospital-to-home transitions.

Yes. Comfi-Kare meets all Maryland Department of Health licensing requirements for non-medical home care. License Number: R4793. Our caregivers complete state-required training plus our White Glove Caregiver Program™.

Original Medicare does not cover ongoing non-medical home care. Most families pay privately or use long-term care insurance, VA Aid & Attendance, or Medicaid waivers. We’ll walk you through the options during your free assessment.

That’s exactly what the free nurse-led assessment is for. You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Call (240) 716-6183 and we’ll help you sort through it.

Talk to a Nurse Today. Not a Salesperson.

The free assessment takes about 45 minutes. A registered nurse comes to the home, listens, and tells you honestly what your family needs. No pressure. No contract. No charge.
